Side effects are a negative part of nay medication.Clotrimazole is
used to treat the fungal infections. A localized side effect of this
drug is the irritation of skin, burning sensation and redness of the
skin.
Some may also face problems like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain,
change in urine colour or skin, eyes colour to yellow or change in
the taste buds usually bitter. These are normal symptoms and need
not be worried about much.
Only if the adverse of any this is experienced the doctor should be
consulted. Some very less noticed side effects of this drug are the
swelling, hives, peeling or the blistering. Clotrimazole also
undergoes some infrequent side effects.
This category includes skin infection, thin fragile skin, red skin
lesions, skin blotches of brown or purple in colour or the
inflammation of the hair follicles. Other rarely occurring side
effects of Clotrimazole are the skin ulcer, strech marks on the
skin, rashes, peeling of the skin suddenly, stinging of the skin or
other reactions due to the allergy.
Some patients especially women may face abnormal growth of hair on
the face or other parts of the body. Less severe and rare occurring
side effects are the hair loss, dryness in the skin and the
increased feeling of the skin. Some may also face the skin blister,
and decreased pigmentation of the skin. In case of treating the
vaginal fungal infection it may also lead to foul smell through the
discharge of the vaginal products. Fever is also a less happening
side effect faced by very few patients treating with the
Clotrimazole.
